Careful and unyielding

Thomas read law at the University of Groningen and the University of Wisconsin. In 2013, Thomas started his career as lawyer of an Amsterdam law firm. In 2017, Thomas made a professional switch to Penrose.

Thomas Schutte focuses on (international) advice and dispute resolution in the field of corporate law (M&A) and contracts law.

Thomas regularly advises and litigates on behalf of companies, shareholders and executive and non-executive directors in matters of corporate governance, disputes between stakeholders, directors’ liability and restructuring. In addition, he assists (majority) shareholders and investors during mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and the incorporation and setting up of companies. Thomas has extensive experience drafting tailor made commercial contracts, including purchase agreements, general terms and conditions, shareholders-, joint venture-, ICT-, distribution- and agency agreements.
