We are delighted to announce that Martijn Berk will be joining Penrose on 17 July 2024!

Martijn Berk is an IT lawyer with more than 15 years of experience as a project manager of large and complex IT projects. Martijn specializes in drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex IT agreements and licensing structures, advising on European “tech” legislation such as DORA and the AI Act, and preventing and resolving IT-related disputes.

Martijn graduated cum laude from the VIRA/Grotius postgraduate specialization in IT law. He has been the chairman of the Examination Appeals Board at Leiden University since 2021. Martijn regularly publishes in legal journals and has a regular column in AG Connect. In 2023 he published a collection of case law on IT law at Ars Aequi.

Martijn has a unique combination of legal, practical and technical knowledge with which he assists a wide range of clients, such as programmers, tech scale-ups and large financial services providers.
