Sander Theunissen has been practising law since 2010 and specialises in employment law. He has a broad practice, advising and representing employers, executives and employees on matters ranging from reorganisations and works council issues to complex dismissals, restrictive covenants and executive employment matters.
Sander enjoys getting to the heart of complex legal issues. What is the legal position, what interests are at stake and – most importantly – how can we find a solution that allows the client to move forward? He is sharp on the substance and clear in his advice, while always keeping an eye on the people and relationships involved. When litigation is necessary, Sander has extensive experience representing clients in employment disputes.
Before joining Penrose in November 2026, Sander worked at Littler, Lexence and BarentsKrans. He became a partner at Littler in 2025 and has advised a wide variety of Dutch and international clients throughout his career.
